Mozart Terrace

This is one of the most special projects that I have worked on, it is the house that Mozart composed his first symphony in and has the plaque outside to prove it!

The house had been bought by a client who then decided not to move in for personal reasons and wanted to sell it on as quickly as possible so I was instructed to re-decorate and facelift the house and garden to look the best that they could and then to stage it with furniture and accessories.

Since the house is virtually a museum, I decided to go for a more casual luxury look and feel incorporating more traditionally inspired furniture pieces mixed in with more contemporary fittings and accessories to create a classic contemporary style.

The house sold with multiple bids amidst the Covid-19 outbreak and the incoming purchasers then instructed me to help them interior design the house in the same style as it had been staged but including window treatments, soft furnishings and lighting.

The Project

If there are period features in a property, then I will try to highlight them and accentuate them somewhat. These original features, which are so charming and so beautiful, actually enable the rest of the design to be quite simple.

To me this property is like a museum because it’s so historical and it’s also a very special house in its own way.
